Commis Chef

This is a full time role, hourly or salaried pay available.


  • Support the culinary team in the preparation and execution of menu items, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
  • Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients, utensils, and equipment.
  • Participate in food preparation tasks, such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients under the guidance of senior chefs.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Learn and apply cooking techniques, presentation methods, and flavor profiles as directed by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient production of menu items during service.
  • Rotate through different stations within the kitchen to gain exposure to various aspects of food preparation.
  • Assist in the receiving and storage of food deliveries, ensuring quality and freshness.
  • Embrace opportunities for learning and skill development within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Support the team in achieving high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering well-prepared and visually appealing dishes.


  • Culinary school education or relevant experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Basic understanding of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen sanitation.
  • Eagerness to learn and a passion for the culinary arts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, following instructions from senior kitchen staff.
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak hours.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
