Team Leader

This role is approximately 20-40 hours per week. To be successful the candidate must be available to work a varying roster of evening shifts between Tuesday to Saturday and must hold a current RSA.

$30 - $38 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a dynamic team of restaurant staff, ensuring a positive and cohesive working environment.
  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including daily opening and closing procedures, coordinating shifts and managing floor and kitchen activities to meet service standards.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and efficient replenishment of supplies.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for achieving revenue and profitability goals.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to company policies, procedures, and hygiene standards.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, and foster a strong sense of teamwork.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by participating in interviews and providing input on staffing decisions.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, including the ability to make decisions under pressure and motivate the team to achieve common goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role within the restaurant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, customer service, and food safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (prefereably MICROS) systems and basic computer skills.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences to customers.
  • RSA Certificate.
  • Wine knowledge strongly regarded.
